The UPA government has focussed on balanced and inclusive social and economic growth in the country and providing equal opportunities to each and every citizen to live a life of dignity and fulfilment. This was stated by Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram while addressing a press conference at Ahmedabad today. He added that a Rights based approach has been adopted to empower people for greater economic prosperity and social justice.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Mrs. Ambika Soni and Law Minister Salman Khurshid also participated in a Group of Ministers on Media press conference and highlighted the major achievements of UPA government during the last three years.
