The Union Minister of State for Telecommunication and Information Technology, Sachin Pilot has said that UPA government is committed to take the latest telecommunication facilities up to village level within two years. <br/><br/>Replying to questions of the listeners of All India Radio in the Public Speak programme , he said there would be revolutionary changes in telecom sector when the wireless broadband is introduced in villages and remote areas. <br/><br/>He said, Bharat Sanchar Nigam is doing a commendable job in extending telecom connectivity to consumers in remotest areas of the country. <br/><br/>He hoped competition in the mobile sector will bring down call rates substantially. He said that more than 50 crores mobile connections are functioning in the country now.
