In Uttar Pradesh World Tourism Day is being celebrated with the objective to attract tourists across the world as well as domestic tourists.AIR correspondent reports that several programmes have been organized on this occasion at famous tourists’ places including Agra, Varanasi, Allahabad, Mathura and Ayodhya. Welcome desks are set up at railway stations and historical places are decorated nicely.A three day Buddhist Conclave is being organized at Varanasi from tomorrow with a view to showcasing and projecting the Buddhist Heritage of the country. It is Second International Buddhist Conclave in the temple town. The Conclave invitees include the International Buddhist scholars, tour operators and media both domestic and international who actively promote Buddhist Tourism. The other states with Buddhist sites like Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa besides Bihar are also associated in the event. Approximately 250 delegates from India and abroad are expected to attend the Conclave.During the conclave tours to Buddhist sites and circuits in the different States are also being arranged for the overseas guests.
