UP vigilance dept. files corruption charges against four

The Uttar Pradesh state vigilance department has filed corruption cases against four ex-members of UP Higher Education Commission on various charges under corruption and irregularities in the appointment of lecturers during their tenure.<br/><br/>According to Vigilance department the cases have been filed against ex chairperson of commission Prof Siya Ram Jaiswal, retired director,higher education R K Baslas and two other ex members of commission Lal Dhar Singh Yaday and Dr Govind Narayan Varma.<br/><br/> The vigilance official told AIR Allahabad correspondent that these officials were directly involved in the various irregularities and also received bribe in the appointment of lecturers during 2004.
