In Uttar Pradesh, Bharat Nirman Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendras will be established at village and block levels to facilitate the proper implementation of Mahatama Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. These centres will serve the twin purpose of mini secretiat of MNREGS and Knowledge Resource Centre. The multi storied buildings at Block and village Panchayat levels will have offices of MNREGS, Block and Panchayat level functionaries apart from having training and meeting halls. These mini secretriat will be equipped with modern IT gadgets.<br/> <br/>The construction of each block-level building will cost 25 lakh rupees while the gram panchyat level resource centre would be constructed at a cost of ten lakh rupees. It will be funded by MNREGS.<br/> <br/>AIR correspondent says that 6 such resource centres will be erected in Sant Ravidas Nagar and 10 in Meerut district at Block level during the current fiscal.<br/>
