The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to impose an entry tax at the rate of five percent on Natural gas .The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minster Mayawati in Lucknow on Friday .The cabinet has decided to impose entry tax on natural gas when the gas will enter Uttar Pradesh territory . The Tax is being imposed under the Tax Law-2007.
