UP: Swine flu death in Farrukhabad, govt. sounds alert

In Uttar Pradesh, an alert has been sounded in Farrukhabad after the death of a female patient of the district due to Swine Flu. AIR correspondent quoting health officials reports that the girl had succumbed in a Delhi hospital. The girl probably caught the infection from the family, she had been staying with in Delhi. The blood samples of girl’s family members have been taken for investigation. Meanwhile, similar alert has been sounded in Deoria district of eastern UP where an isolation ward has been earmarked for swine flu patients. The Chief Medical Officer of the district has said that no patient of swine flue has been detected yet in the district but the department is keeping vigil on migratory population.
