In Uttar Pradesh, the election authority has geared up for fourth phase elections going to be held tomorrow. According to state electoral authorities 967 candidates are in the fray in these phase.91 women candidates are contesting in this phase also. Voting will take place in 56 constituencies of eleven districts.Meanwhile the Election commission has issued notice to Union Minister Beni Prasad Verma on his statement over sub qota to Muslim reservation. The commission found Prima facie violation of model code of conduct and asked him to submit his reply by Monday.Political campaign in Bundelkhand region and in western parts of UP have also been intensified. More than one hundred and fifty constituencies will be covered in last three phases after 19th february polling.27 sitting MLAS including five ministers are testing their fate in the fourth phase. The prominent candidates are state Congress president Dr Rita Bahuguna Joshi,Congress party legislative leader Pramod Tiwari,BJP National vice president Kalraj Mishra ,BSP Minster Nakul Dubey.The eleven districts are going to be covered are Lucknow, Rai bareilly, Unnao, Hardoi, Chatrapati shahu Ji Maharaj Nagar, Farukkhabad, Kannuj, Banda, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur and Pratapgarh.The Election commission has made elaborate arrangements for this phase also. More than 18 thousand polling stations have been made for tomorrow’s election. Besides state police force, PAC and central Paramilitary force have deployed in the election areas. Strict vigilance is being kept in all eleven district borders and check posts.All political leaders concentrated their efforts in Budelkhand and western UP regions. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav had addressed rallies in Lalitpur district today. The BJP president Nitin Gadkari addressed a political meeting in Agra. BSP leader Mayawati addressed rallies in Jhansi and Jalaun districts.
