In Uttar Pradesh, the main opposition Samajwadi Party has announced to bring a no-confidence motion against the Bahujan Samaj Party government during the coming winter session of the state legislature. Session begins from21st November. Leader of opposition in the state Assembly, Shivpal Yadav has said in statement issued at Lucknow that the state government was neck deep in corruption and to divert people's attention from it, Chief Minister Mayawati had proposed division of the state into four smaller states. He has said that his party will oppose this proposal and will fight tooth and nail to prevent further division of the state at all level. Justifying his party's decision to bring a no-confidence motion, the Samajwadi Party leader has said that being the main opposition party, it was their moral responsibility to raise issues of corruption and rising crime in the state.
