In Uttar Pradesh only a day is left for nominations for the biennial Rajya Sabha elections for 11 seats and a total of 11 candidates have filed their nominations.<br/><br/>Our Lucknow correspondent reports that Monday is last date for nominations and seven candidates of the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party, two candidates of Samajwadi Party and one each of Congress and BJP have filed their nominations. Polling is scheduled on 17th of this month.<br/><br/>BSP candidates who have filed their nominations are Satish Chandra Mishra, Jugal Kishore, Ambeth Rajan, Mohammad Saleem Ansari, Naresh Kumar Kashyap, Rajpal Singh Saini and Satyapal Singh. <br/><br/>Party`s general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra and Ambeth Rajan were the only candidates who have been repeated, while the remaining five candidates of the party are new faces.<br/>The main opposition Samajwadi Party has fielded its spokes person Mohan Singh and Rashid Masood while Congress has nominated former union minister Captain Satish Sharma and former union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi is BJP nominee.<br/><br/>The nominations for the RS biennial polls will be accepted till June 7 and on the next day, scrutiny of papers would take place and candidates can withdraw their papers till 10th of this month.<br/>
