In Uttar Pradesh the Election Commission has changed the schedule for the by-election to a Rajya Sabha seat which is going to be held on 26th of this month.<br/><br/>Our Lucknow correspondent reports that the commission has preponed the issuance of notification for the by election. According to the revised schedule, the notification would now be issued on 6th of this month. Earlier it was scheduled on 9th of this month. <br/><br/>Last date for filing nominations would be on March 13. Scrutiny will now take place on March 16, while the last date for withdrawal of nominations is 18th of this month.<br/><br/>This by elections is being held to fill up the vacancy occurred due to the death of the sitting Samajwadi Party member Janeshwar Mishra, on January 22.<br/>
