In Uttar Pradesh, one week long special immunisation drive of Pulse Polio began today in 53 districts of the state. About three crore children will be immunised for polio virus during the drive.<br/>AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that districts under Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Gorakhpur divisions and some districts of Allahabad, Kanpur and Mirzapur divisions have not been included in this current drive. Nearly 88 thousand polio booths were set up across the covered districts for immunisation of drops to the children less than 5 years of age.<br/>About 52 thousand mobile teams of health workers will go door-to-door for next 6 days to administer the polio drops to the left children during today’s campaign. This year over 427 cases of P3 and 28 cases of P1 wild polio virus have been reported throughout the state mostly from western districts this year.<br/>
