In Utter Pradesh , preparations are going on in full swing for the oath taking ceremony by the Chief Minister designate Akhilesh Singh on the 15th of this month. He was unanimously selected the leader of the Samajwadi Party legislative group yesterday in the meeting of newly elected MLAs of the party. The oath taking ceremony would be held at La Martiniere college ground. Several national leaders and Chief Ministers of other states have been invited to attend the function. Meanwhile , the Bahujan Samaj Party decided not to contest elections for local urban bodies. The descision was taken in the meeting of party workers and leaders held at Lucknow.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that addressing the meeting BSP president Mayawati announced that her party would not contest any election in the state which would not be held under Election Commission and central Para Military forces.
