In Uttar Pradesh, today is last date for withdrawal of nominations for the second phase of Assembly elections. 59 constituencies spread over 9 districts of eastern UP will go to polls on the 11th of next month in this phase. AIR correspondent reports that nomination process for fifth phase of elections will begin tomorrow. 49 constituencies spread over 13 districts of Agra, Aligarh, Kanpur, Jhansi and Chitrakoot Dham divisions will go to polls on the 23rd of next month in this phase. Filing of nominations for the third phase of assembly elections has gained momentum as it will come to a close tomorrow.So far, 438 candidates have filed their nominations for 56 assembly segments in this phase. The Election Commission has deployed 15 senior police officers from different states as police observer for all districts going to polls in second and third phase. More from our correspondent:
