In Uttar Pradesh a total of 1,017 candidates have filed their nomination papers for the first phase of assembly election.Scrutiny of papers will be held today while January 23 is last date for withdrawal of candidature. Polling will be held on February 8 in 55 constituencies spread over 10 districts in this phase.AIR Correspondent reports that for the second phase of elections a total of 286 candidates have filed nominations till now. Voting will be held on 11 February in 59 constituencies in this phase.
