In Uttar Pradesh, the nomination process for the third phase of assembly election ends this evening as today is the last day of withdrawal of candidature. Filing of nominations for fourth phase will also end today.

The nomination process for fifth phase is going on, fourth February is the last date of filing nomination for this phase. Notification for sixth phase will begin tomorrow.

The assembly election is being held in the state in seven phases from 8th February to 3rd March. Meanwhile, campaigning has intensified in first and second phase areas. Top political leaders are addressing election rallies to garner support in their favour.
