In Uttar Pradesh, the Election Commission today shifted 13 senior administrative and police officers including 6 District Magistrates and 7 District Police Chiefs.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that on the direction of the Commission, district magistrates of Ghaziabad, Hardoi, Chandauli, Lalitpur, and Pratapgarh have been replaced.Similarly Deputy Inspector General of Basti and district police chiefs of Baharaich, Sant Kabir Nagar, Jaunpur, Sant Ravidas Nagar Bhadohi, Unnao and Etah have also been shifted.The Commission had received several complaints against these officers for their alleged bias in the favour of the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party.Earlier the Commission had removed then principle secretary Home and Director General of Police on the complaints from most of the opposition parties.
