In Uttar Pradesh, the Election Commission has launched a special drive for distribution of Electors Photo Identity cards and it will continue till 12th of this month.The Commission has already published final voters lists consisting 12 crore 58 lakhs voters after a special roll revision drive.More than one crore new voters have been included during the drive.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that about 2,66,000 volunteers of NSS working in various state universities and colleges would be engaged to motivate people to exercise their right to vote. Street plays, rallies, human chains and torchlight processions would be organised by the volunteers all over the state on January 25 to create awareness among the people to vote in elections.
