In Uttar Pradesh, brisk campaigning is on in different areas where elections are to be held in the fifth and sixth phases. The campaigning for the fifth phase will end tomorrow evening . Star political leaders including Chief Minister Mayawati ,Samajwadi party leaders Mulayam singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav, BJP president Nitin Gadkari and others addressed rallies. The Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi held a road show in Kanpur as he travelled in a bus through the city and its outskirts. State congress president Dr Rita Bahuguna Joshi rejected the allegation that Gandhi violated model code of conduct. She said he had only held road show and did not address any gathering nor hold any procession. A case of violation of model code of conduct has been registered against Rashtriya Lok Dal leader and Member of Parliament from Mathura Jayant Chaudhari and his party assembly candidate Meghshyam. According to reports Chaudhari allegedly handed over money to Meghshyam during a public meeting yesterday. In the fifth phase, elections will be held in thirteen districts of central UP, Budelkhand and parts of western UP region. There are 894 candidates are in the fray in this phase .
