In Uttar Pradesh, the electioneering has reached its peak in 11 districts of fourth phase areas where the polling in 56 assembly constituencies will be held on Sunday. Besides state capital Lucknow; Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Chhatrapati Shahuji Mahraj Nagar, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Banda, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur and Pratapgarh will undergo polling in this phase. The campaigning will come to an end for this phase tomorrow.AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports that the nomination process for the seventh and last phase will end this evening as today is the last day for withdrawal of papers. The polling for this phase will be held on 3rd March.The process of nomination and allotment of symbols to political parties have been completed for fifth and sixth phases of elections. The polling for these phases will be held on 23rd and 28th February respectively.The UP assembly elections are being held between 8th February and 3rd March in seven phases. The counting of votes will be held simultaneously on 6th March.Meanwhile, over 57 per cent voters cast their votes in the third phase of polling held yesterday in 56 Assembly constituencies. Polling remained smooth and incident-free even in troubled naxal areas of Chandauli, Mirzapur and Sonebhadra districts.
