In Uttar Pradesh, the poll process for Assembly elections begins from tomorrow with the issuance of notification for the first phase of elections.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that election will take place in 55 constituencies spread over 10 districts from Lucknow, Faizabad, Devipatan and Basti divisions. Nominations begin with the issuance of notification while January 19 is last date for nominations and candidates can withdraw their papers by January 23. A total of 13 thousand 186 polling centers have been set up in all 55 constituencies going for poll in this phase. One crore 70 lakhs 44 thousand 561 electorates will exercise their franchise in this phase.The Election Commission has decided to webcast poll process from more than one thousand polling centers. Para military forces have already reached in these constituencies. To check the money power and black money to influence the poll process, the Commission has decided to deploy one observer in every constituency to keep an eye on expenditure of candidates.
