In Uttar Pradesh, since last week, ?when ?National Human Rights Commission issued a notice to the UP government ?about? ?alleged Kairana exodus matter, the issue has gained a political momentum. ?Today BSP supremo Mayawati slammed the BJP for igniting the issue without basis. Addressing a press conference in Lucknow today she said it is proved that there is no exodus for the reasons stated by BJP. Ms. Mayawati charged BJP of trying to create communal ripples in the state for the political mileage. She said the media has performed an exemplary role in bringing out the truth about Kairana. Meanwhile ruling SP and BJP are making allegations and counter allegations in the matter. <br/><br/>Talking to AIR, state BJP chief Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the seven member probe team of the party will visit Kairana tomorrow. He said that it is very serious matter not only for the state but also for all of us. Whereas UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav said that independent inquiry by the media as well as the district administration clearly proves that most of the people who left Kairana had done so in order to find better opportunities for themselves?. He accused the BJP for communalising the issue for political gains. Whereas BJP refuting the district administration's report accused ruling Samajwadi Party government to hush up a major issue which should have been taken with utmost seriousness.
