In Uttar Pradesh, the sleuths of Police are being trained by the army to tackle naxal menace in the state. The official sources told AIR Gorakhpur correspondent that the selected UP Police personnel are being trained jungle combat at 39 Gorkha Training Centre in Varanasi. The trained police personnel will be deployed in the naxalite areas in the jungles along the borders of Bihar, Chhatisgarh, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh. UP government has sanctioned 9 lakh rupees for the training.
