The Uttar Pradesh police says it will probe the issuance of passport to the Pakistani national Syed Amir Ali arrested by security agencies from Indira Gandhi International airport in Delhi. Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Mr. Brij lal told this to reporters in Lucknow that it is a serious lapse as address of a person applying for a passport is doubly verified by local intelligence unit and the district police. He claimed that as per informations received by state police the name used by the spy is a pseudo name.Mr. Brij Lal said that as per the information given by the arrested spy he stayed in Lucknow in 2005-06 and during his stay managed to get a passport from local passport office.<br/><br/>
