The Allahabad High court has given relief to senior police officers including Retired DGP Vikram Singh in a case of contempt to court. The High court today stayed the order of a single bench passed earlier in a case where court had given order to police department for out of turn promotion of a head constable. After non -compliance of the court’s order the single bench had issued the contempt notice to the police officers Vikram Singh retired DG, ADG Brij Lal and three other Senior Police officers to appear before the court. The dual bench headed by Chief Justice C K Prasad and Justice Sanjay Mishra stayed the single bench order today. A head constable has filed the petition for out of turn promotion where the single bench had accepted his plea and passed the order to promote. <br/>
