UP Police announces reward for giving information about persons involved in Arunima Sinha case

In Uttar Pradesh, the state police have announced a reward of 15,000 rupees for giving information about persons involved in pushing national-level volleyball player Arunima Sinha out of a speeding train in Bareilly district. Quoting official sources, AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that the Government Railway Police has announced the award as it has not got any clue in this incident at present. GRP has lodged an FIR under charges of attempt to murder and attempt to robbery against unknown persons.Meanwhile, four Public Interest Litigations have been filed in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court seeking a CBI probe into the murder of Chief Medical Officer Dr. B.P. Singh. Petitioners have also sought probe by the national agency into alleged financial irregularities in the implementation of National Rural Health Mission project in the state.
