UP NRHM Scam: CBI files chargesheet against 7 persons

In Uttar Pradesh, the Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI today filed a chargesheet against seven persons in connection with National Rural Health Mission, NRHM scam in the state. The chargesheet has been filed in the Ghaziabad based special CBI Court.AIR Correspondent reports that two distributors of medicines and medical equipments and five senior officers of Civil and Design section of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam are chargesheeted. They have been slapped under different charges of corrupting, forgery and misutilisation of public fund. Jailed former BSP Minister Babu Singh Kushwaha and BSP MLA, RP Jaiswal's names does not figure in his chargesheet.The CBI had earlier registered five Preliminary Inquiries relating to alleged irregularities in the execution and implementation of NRHM funds in the State, its inception in the year 2005-06 till November, 2011 on the directions of the Allahabad High Court.
