In Uttar Pradesh senior Samajwadi Party MLA Mata Prasad Pandey is all set to be the new speaker of state Assembly. He filed his nomination papers today before Principle Secretary Vidhan Sabha Pradeep Kumar Dubey. Leaders from all major political parties including ruling Samajwadi Party, BSP, Congress, BJP, Rashtriya Lok Dal and Peace party have supported his candidature. He will be declared elected unopposed for the post tomorrow after ending of date for withdrawal.AIR correspondent reports that it will be second term of Mr. Pandey as Speaker of the house. He has been speaker in the year 2003 -07 during regime of Mulayam Singh Yadav. He has been elected to the Vidhan Sabha from Etwa assembly constituency in Siddharthnagar district.
