In Uttar Pradesh, Minister Chitranjan Swarup, also a sitting MLA from Muzaffarnagar, died today after a prolonged illness. The house after paying tribute to 71 year old three time MLA, adjourned for the day. He was holding portfolio of minister of state for Parliamentary affairs, Urban Development and Minority affairs. Speaker of the House Mata Prasad Pandey termed Swarup as a true representative of common people who always strived to raise their issues but with democratic ways.
