UP: Magisterial inquiry orders in bus electrocution incident

In Uttar Pradesh, a magisterial inquiry has been ordered in to bus electrocution incident, in which more than twelve people were killed and 32 seriously injured in Jahanabad town of Fatehpur district yesterday. District Magistrate Kanchan Verma has entrusted ADM Uday Raj Singh to probe the incident. AIR correspondent reports that around 3.30 PM yesterday, a private bus loaded with more than 50 passengers came in touch of a snapped high tension wire in Jahanabad, a town 60 KMs from Fatehpur. The bus was instantly converted into a fireball due to high volatage. Panic stricken people smashed widow panes of the bus to rescue the injured, after the current stopped after ten minutes. UP Power corporation has also ordered a probe of the incident. Chief Minster Akhilesh Yadav has expressed grief over the incident. The death toll is likely to rise as many severely burnt persons are struggling for their life.
