In Uttar Pradesh, the Lokayukta Justice N K Mehrotra has suggested the sacking of the Animal Husbandry Minister Awadh Pal Singh Yadav from the Mayawati Government for his involvement in corruption and criminal activities.The Lokayukta has sent his recommendations today to the Chief Minister Mayawati.Mr. AK Singhal, an official spokes person of Lokayukta office told AIR Lucknow correspondent that Lokayukta has also suggested for taking action against some senior civil and police officers including DM Balkar Singh and District Police Chief Lukshmi Narayan for supporting the land grabbing act of the Minister besides setting up of a task force to probe into the illegal manufacturing of country-made liquor by his family members.The Lokayukta has suggested for initiating criminal and revenue-related cases against the Minister for his illegal activities in his native place Etah.AIR correspondent reports that earlier, State Religious Affairs Minister Rajesh Tripathi had to resign after he was found involved in illegal activities in Gorakhpur.
