UP Lokayukta recommends removal of State Minister Rangnath Mishra

In Uttar Pradesh, the Lokayukta has recommended removal of Secondary Education Minister Rangnath Mishra from the post with immediate effect. Justice N K Mehrotra has written a letter to Chief Minister Mayawati in this regard. The Lokayukta has received a complaint against the Minister for earning disproportionate money. Following preliminary inquiry and getting a reply from the Minister, the Lokayukta has also recommended a CBI inquiry against the Minister in view of the charges.Our Lucknow correspondent reports that a former Gram Pradhan from Sant Ravidas Nagar, Bhadohi, has lodged a complaint against the Minister for expanding of the MLA fund, to benefit an educational institution run by himself and his family.
