In Uttar Pradesh, lawyers are organising a protest day today against the killing of two advocates in Lakhimpur Khiri district on Saturday. Security has been tightened through the state.Meanwhile, all 34 accused have been sent to jail. Both the lawyers who were killed in this incident were cremated on Sunday. Today lawyers in Uttar Pradesh are organising protest day and would abstain from judicial work. The Bar Concil of Uttar Pradesh has called for protest and administration in district courts premises against killing of two lawyers in Lakhimpur Khiri district. Elaborate security arrangements have been made in distrcit courts, tehsil and collectorate offices throughout the state. Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government has transferred Sub-divisional Magistrate and Tehsildar of Mahamadi. Political parties in thes tate have also demanded strict action in this case and criticised Uttar Pradesh government on deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
