UP launches Border Area Development scheme

The Uttar Pradesh Government will launch developmental schemes in seven districts adjoining Nepal border under the centrally sponsored Border Area Development Programme. <br/><br/>The State Government is preparing a proposal of Rs 35 crores for 21 development blocks in Bahraich, Balrampur, Siddharthanagar, Shrawasti, Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit and Mahrajganj districts.<br/><br/>The State-Level Screening Committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Atul Kumar Gupta finalised the project proposals on Friday. <br/><br/>The scheme includes infrastructural facilities like concrete roads, solar lighting, drinking water and irrigation apart from opening Anganbari centres and primary schools.
