In Uttar Pradesh heavy to moderate rain lashed most parts of the state during last 36 hours resulting in fall of temperatures and benefiting the Rabi crop, specially the wheat. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that eastern districts of the state have received the maximum 19mm rainfall in the state. In Gorakhpur , the maximum temperature was recorded at 18.5 degree Celsius, which was seven degree below normal. The sudden change in weather brought down the day temperature at many places. Experts have said that the downpour would prove beneficial for the Rabi crops, including wheat, barley, mustard, peas, oats, oil seeds and pulses. The weather office has forecast rain and thunder showers would occur at many places in eastern region and at a few places in western districts. Besides, it has warned hail storm and thunder squall at isolated places in eastern districts.
