170 Haj pilgrims have been blacklisted this year by Uttar Pradesh State Haj Committee. After an enquiry, it was found that 152 people from the waiting list and 18 others were included in provisionally selected list by using unfair means. Chairman of State Haj Committee Uttar Pradesh and Urban Development Minister Mohammad Azam Khan has not ruled out the possibility of involvement of officials and employees of State Haj Committee and some Delhi and Mumbai based agencies in the fraud. An FIR has been lodged for strict action against those involved in scandal.
