UP Govt's decision to waive off farm loan is partial relief: Rahul Gandhi

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today said, Uttar Pradesh government's decision to waive off farm loan was a partial relief but a step in the right direction. <br/><br/>In a series of tweets, Mr Gandhi said, the Centre must have a national response to the widespread distress and not discriminate amongst states. Saying that BJP has finally seen reason, he asserted that no politics should be played with farmers suffering across the country.<br/><br/>Mr Gandhi's response came a day after the Yogi Adityanath led BJP government in Uttar Pradesh announced a loan waiver of around 36,000 crore rupees for small and marginal farmers in the state.<br/><br/>Congress has been pressing for a loan waiver across the country on the lines of that done during UPA rule.<br/><br/>Mr. Gandhi said, he is in talks with the party leaders of Delhi over the resentment on the distribution of tickets for MCD polls. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Mr Gandhi said he will sort out the issue. He also expressed confidence that Congress will do reasonably well in the MCD elections.<br/><br/>Recently, senior Delhi Congress leader AK Walia had offered to quit the party alleging use of undemocratic measures by top leaders in ticket distribution.<br/><br/>Former party MLA Amrish Singh Gautam joined also BJP after tickets distribution.<br/><br/>On organisational reshuffle, the Congress Vice President said he will do it.<br/><br/>
