The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to give pension of 500 rupees per month to construction workers.UP Labour Minister Shahid Manzoor said,pension of 500 rupees per month will be given to workers, who are registered with the UP Building and Other Construction Welfare Board for a period of five years and have completed 60 years of age.He said, pension would be given to only those workers, who were not getting benefits under any other pension scheme.Manzoor said,the pension would be given to workers for their lifetime and to the spouse after death.
