In Uttar Pradesh, the Covid 19 infection is on a surge across the state. Meanwhile the government is taking all necessary steps to curb the spread. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is regularly monitoring the situation and has  instructed to conduct more Covid19 testing and emphasized on speedy contract tracing. According to the health department during the last 24 hours 737 new cases of covid-19 were detected and during the same period only 185 patients suffering from covid infection  got recovered.<br />''<br />''The most 220 new cases  of Covid were found  in state capital Lucknow followed by 37 in Gautam Budh Nagar,  36 in  Varanasi,  33 in Kanpur Nagar  district. The number  of active cases in the state has also increased to 4 thousand 388 . As  of now 5 lakh 96 thousand 286 covid patients have recovered and 8 thousand 769 covid patients have lost their lives. The work of  sample testing for covid-19 is continuously going on in the state and as of now more than 3 crore 39 lakh samples have been tested.<br />
