In Uttar Pradesh the government has suspended seven policemen, including the SHO in Auriya district following a youth's alleged death in police custody in of Bela police station. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that infuriated over death of an accused in a police station an irate mob had indulged in arson and heavy brick-batting at police station. Several vehicles were also torched by the mob and three policemen were injured in the brick batting.According to reports, police had arrested a tractor driver regarding a case registered against him by the tractor owner. Police has claimed that driver had allegedly committed suicide in the lock-up by hanging himself from the ceiling.After his death, angry villagers pelted stones at the police station, alleging that the death was due to police torture. Additional police force had been rushed to the area to maintain law and order situation.Uttar Pradesh Samajwadi Party president MP Mr. Akhilesh Yadav has condemned the incident and has demanded a high level probe into the death of the accused in the police custody.<br/><br/> <br/>
