The Uttar Pradesh government today gave monetary rewards to the players of the state who won medals in various international competitions including recently concluded Incheon Asian Games.A total of 497 athletes were rewarded with a total of around seven crore sixty lakh rupees.Jeetu Rai, the acclaimed shooter was given a total of one crore Rupees as a reward for winning gold in various international competitions.Seema Punia in discuss throw, Daniah Mujtaba in hockey, Rajiv Tomar in wrestling were also rewarded along with others.Talking to AIR, Asian Games wrestling gold medalist Rajiv Tomar said that this reward will undoubtedly boost the morale of the athletes.
