The Uttar Pradesh government has quashed all political appointments in various departments, corporations, councils and co-operative societies as Chairman, Vice Chairman, member or advisor. In an order, Chief Secretary Rahul Bhatnagar directed all Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of concerned departments to relieve all such appointees immediately.<br/><br/> Our correspondent reports that three additional advocate generals of the Allahabad high court – CB Yadav, Imran ullah and Kamrul Hasan Siddiqi – have resigned following the formation of the new government. Additional advocate generals are appointed by the government to represent it before the higher judiciary.
