UP govt presents budget of 4.79 lakh crore rupees

Uttar Pradesh government today presented a budget of 4.79 lakh crore rupees in the state assembly for the year 2019-20. Presenting the budget, finance minister Rajesh Agrawal said, the focus of the budget is on farmers, youth and women along with improving the infrastructure in the state. <br />''<br />''<br />''In the Budget, 1,298 crore rupees has been allocated for the Ayushman Bharat National Health Protection Mission scheme and 111 crores has been given under the state-funded Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan.<br />'' <br />''In this budget, there is 357 crore rupees allocation for Rural Institute of Medical Sciences, Saifai, and 50 crores to set up Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University in Lucknow. Three new schemes of tree plantation funded under MNREGA have also been announced.<br />'' <br />''Kanya Sumangala Yojna, an ambitious scheme of state government is being started with a view to raising health and educational standard of girls and for this scheme, 1200 crore rupees has been proposed.<br />''Speaking to media after the presentation of the budget, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded the budget and termed it inclusive and development oriented. He said, to improve infrastructure and connectivity, the budget of the PWD department has been raised by 12 percent. <br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">He said, for doubling the income of farmers and provide them with better irrigation facilities, funds have been allocated to complete the long pending irrigation projects and budget of the department had also been raised by 11 percent.</span><br />
