UP govt orders inquiry in factory manufacturing fire crackers in Himmatpur village

Uttar Pradesh government has ordered an inquiry in the factory manufacturing fire crackers in Himmatpur village of Auraiya district. Nine People including six from a family are among over 12 injured in the tragedy. AIR correspondent quoting hospital sources reports that condition of some of the injured is very critical. Official sources said in Lucknow that the inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the blast and any negligence by the local administration. Principal Secretary Home R.M. Srivastav told AIR correspondent that all the four policemen including Sub-Inspector of Yakubpur police outpost have been suspended.

Police sources said that the owner of the factory was running it from his residence illegally.
