UP Govt. orders CB-CID probe into death of two Dalit sisters

Uttar Pradesh government has ordered a CB-CID (Crime Branch-Crime Investigation Department) probe into death of two Dalit sisters, who were allegedly burnt alive in Moradabad district recently. AIR correspondent reports that two girls namely Geeta and Neetu died under Kothiwal Nagar area of the district in last month. It was alleged that a mob protesting against a double murder in which their brother was accused had torched their house. An FIR was later lodged against 12 people, of which five were arrested.The Chairman of National Commission for Schedule Cast, Mr. PL Punia has also sought a report from state government in this case. A team of National Women Commission had already visited Moradabad to get first hand information about the incident and alleged that district administration was failed to provide security to deceased.
