<span style="color: #222222;">In Uttar Pradesh, the state government is making all efforts to ramp up the Covid tests so that maximum number of patients can be identified. After successfully reaching the benchmark of 15 thousand tests per day a few days back, 16159 samples were tested yesterday which is the highest number of tests in the state till date. A total of 591 positive cases were identified in the state. Out of which maximum 73 cases are from state capital Lucknow which is also the highest number of cases in a single day in the city till date. 51 cases are from Gautam Buddh Nagar and 44 from Meerut. State witnessed 30 casualties due to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours and maximum 15 deaths were reported from Meerut. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has already directed the officials to double the number of Covid beds in the districts under the Meerut division of western Uttar Pradesh. Currently there are 5477 active cases of corona infection in all 75 districts of state while 9239 patients have been discharged after full recovery.  The recovery rate in the state is around 61 percent which is much higher than the national average.</span><br />''
