UP govt dismisses two cops involved in gang rape of minor in Badaun

In Uttar Pradesh, the government has dismissed the two police constables who were involved in the gang rape of a minor in Prahaladpur village under Musajhag police station of Badaun. A police spokesman said that the SHO of Musa Jhag police station has also been suspended in the matter.

The chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has taken a serious view of the recent incident. DIG of Bareilly range today made the visit to the victim's family. ADG law and order has also reached Badaun to monitor the situation and to insure earliest nabbing of the accused who are still absconding.

AIR correspondent reports that on 31st December, a fourteen year old girl was allegedly kidnapped and gang raped by two police constables in the police station Musajhag, where they were posted. SSP Badaun Atul Kumar said a medical examination was carried out on the victim today. The two accused constables are absconding after the incident. The police is carrying out the search operations to nab them.
