The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to give 6th pay report benefits to officers and employees of State Transport Corporation, Housing Development Council, Forest Corporation and Public Works Corporation. The decision was taken by the state cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Mayawati yesterday. The decision for 6th pay commission will be implemented from January 2006 but the employees will get actual benefit from January 2010. The work charge employees will also get 6th pay scales with certain provisions as recommended by S.A.T. Rizvi committee. At least two lakh employees will be benefited with this decision. The cabinet also decided to give rupees one thousand honorarium to cook working with Mid-day Meal Scheme. The state government also provide relief to leather industry through exemption of entry tax and interest on leather manufacturing items. The state cabinet also modified its power policy under this if any new project developed through MoU the developer would provide fifty per cent of power to the State Government under prescribed norms.<br/><br/>
