Uttar Pradesh government and the Centre have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the 'Power for All' scheme in the state. <br/><br/>The aim of this scheme is to ensure 24-hour quality power supply in the state by October 2018 and electric connection to every house and agriculture field by 2019. <br/><br/>The agreement was inked in presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister of State for Power Piyush Goyal and UP Power Minster Shrikant Sharma. <br/><br/>This agreement aims to ensure that consumers get quality electricity at an affordable price. <br/><br/>"After coming in to effect of the scheme, state will get enough uninterrupted quality electricity and around 1 crore 86 lakh house holds of state who are still deprived will get electric connections. <br/><br/>The project will cost above rupees 40 thousand crore out of which 20 thousand crore will be spent till 2018. <br/><br/>With the signing of 'Power for All' agreement government also introduced UJALA Scheme under which consumers were distributed Quality based energy saving LED bulbs, tube lights and fans at a cheaper rate. <br/><br/>These appliances are made on high technology of energy saving and will help in providing 'Power for All' .'<br/>
