In Uttar Pradesh the government has amended the reservation system in the three-tier Panchayat elections in the state by implementing the old rotational system for all panchayat seats.<br/> <br/>AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that the state cabinet chaired by the Chief Minister Ms. Mayawati has adopted the old 1995 reservation system by amending the UP Panchayati Raj rule. <br/> <br/>An official spokes person has told that as per the change, now all the seats, including the reserved seats for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backwards casts, would be on rotational system like it was done earlier. <br/> <br/>The new system would ensure that all the reserved seats of Gram Pradhans and wards would change on rotation on the basis of population of the community and it will be considered in decreasing way.<br/> <br/>The Panchayat elections in the state are due this year.<br/>
